Craig Feder is a graduate of Princeton University with a degree in Sociology. He has studied film and photography at the University of California at Berkeley and at the International Center of Photography. Craig has also produced and directed a documentary film while studying at the New York University Film School.

For the past twenty years Craig has worked as a professional portrait, event, and travel photographer. From 1992 to 2000 Craig photographed for the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency in New York.

Craig’s photographic style is directly related to his interest in Sociology. His goal is to capture subjects spontaneously in order to reveal the inherent personality of his subjects. To this end, he prefers to utilize natural settings and he eagerly exploits aspects of natural light as much as possible. Craig works in color, black & white, and sepia.

Craig’s personal projects include portraits of tattooed people, portraits of dancers in the natural environment, and images that capture the excitement and mystery of Country Fairs in New York State.
